Foothills Trail Conference (www.foothillstrail.org)
- The group that maintains the trail, publishes the
guidebook and is pretty much the ultimate resource for all
information on the trail.
Appalachian Outfitters (www.appoutfitters.com)
- This place is one of the best around. They have
everything from water filters to
backpacks to poles to clothing and everything in between.
They also
provided us with our guidebook, poles
and backpacks. Very cool people, great prices and a very
friendly
and knowledgeable staff. Located in Greenville, SC.
Backcountry (www.backcountry.com)
- We picked up some of the more obscure items on Backcountry.
We
also purchased our Kelty tent from there about a year ago.
It was stolen off of our front porch and they
replaced it at no charge, no questions asked! Quick
shipping and lots to choose from.
Hike Carolina (http://hikecarolina.tripod.com/journalFH.htm)
- Here's a website that another couple had
created that helped inspire us to create a website. It
also helped us plan some, and gave us some insight
into other people's issues on the trail.
Purebound (http://www.purebound.com/Foothills_Trail/foothills_trail.htm)
- Another person who hiked the
Foothills Trail and kept a journal, took some good pics, etc.
Digital Fusion Web Design (www.digitalfusioncal.com)
- Designed this website for us. Very friendly guy
named Pallab runs and operates the website. Good people
who do good work.
Seatcoverman.com (www.seatcoverman.com)
- Kenneth's dad's seat cover business.
